Asa Sues Joeboy Over Copyright Track, Seeks N300m

The bone of contention was once on Joeboy’s 2nd single titled, ‘Contour’ launched on August 19, 2022 and produced via beatmaker, Tempoe.

Asa and her management had served Joeboy a letter of alleged copyright infringement
on ‘Contour’, declaring that the tune was once created in a recording session that passed off on September 22, 2022, with the ace producer Tempoe present. Asa claimed the proper of the musical composition.

The letter which was served on September 30, instructed Joeboy take down the music from every streaming platform inside 24 hours, pay a sum of N300 million and assign Asa a 60 per cent publishing cut up and a written apology.

But, Joeboy reacted to the letter on the social media via uploading equal on his Instagram page on October 3, and additionally dared Asa to do her worst.

“Cos I dey always do love and light you think sey I be soft meat.

“You said I have 24 hours, it’s been 48 hours, do something,” Joeboy wrote.

This development might also be the opening of a growing fighting between a young musician, Joeboy and an set up singer, Asa.

Tempoe appeared to be in the centre of the lawsuit between the two musicians. He had slammed a lawsuit on Asa until now this year.
