Adamu Debunks The Rumour That Buhari Withdrawn From APC Rallies

In a recent interview with BBC Hausa, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Adamu responded to questions bordering on the 2023 presidential elections as well as Buhari’s support for the APC candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Adamu debunked the rumours that President Muhammadu Buhari has withdrawn from the APC rallies, adding that such rumours were unfounded.

He also pointed that it would be inappropriate for people to expect the president to leave his duties as a president because electioneering campaigns.

He said people don’t consider that Gen. Muhammadu Buhari is the president and he has taken an oath that every citizen belongs to him regardless of political party. He said people would’ve still accused the president of leaving his presidential duties if he was campaigning up and down.

Recall that the president has been accused of not campaigning for the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu due to his absence from most of the presidential rallies done by the APC but the National Chairman of the APC has explained why he’s been absent. The president who has been on a visit to America few weeks ago just recently returned to Nigeria.
