JAMB extends 2023 UTME registration

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB on Wednesday announced the extension of its 2023 UTME registration exercise by one week.

A statement issued by LAMB’s Head of Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, said the development takes effect from Wednesday, February 15 to February 22nd.

According to the statement: “By this extension, the sale of ePINs would end on Monday, 20th February 2023, while the UTME registration ends on Wednesday, 22nd February 2023.

Declare free education for female students – Dr Remi Medupin

A renowned Nigerian Development Economist, Dr Aderemi Medupin, has called on the Federal and state governments to declare female education free to enhance enrollment and the development of the country.

He described female education as key to the overall development of Nigeria.

Delivering a lecture titled “Girls Education in Nigeria” at the Government Secondary School, Afon, Asa Local Government Area of Kwara state on Friday as part of the ‘Weekend Service to Humanity’ activities of the National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity), Dr Medupin, advised the female students of the co-educational institution to take their academic activities seriously to make progress in life.

He described education as their passport to a good life, adding that “if you want to make progress in life, you need education in all the careers in life.”

Dr Medupin, traced the history of eminent Nigerian females who rose to the height of their careers, noting that they achieved their dreams through education.
