LaLiga: Chukwueze nominated for Player of the Month

Villarreal winger, Samuel Chukwueze is in the running for LaLiga Player of the Month for March.

Chukwueze was a key performer for the Yellow Submarine’s impressive run in the month.

Villarreal picked seven points from three LaLiga games in the month.

The 23-year-old assisted three of the six goals scored by the club in March.

Six other players were also nominated for the award.

The other nominees are: Antione Griezmann, David Silva, Raphinha, Iago Aspas and Borja Iglesias.

Victor Osimhen has scooped the UEFA Champions League Goal of the Week award.

It’s the first time the Nigeria international will be winning the award.

Osimhen’s beautiful header in Napoli’s 3-0 win against German side Eintracht Frankfurt was voted by fans as the best for the week.

The forward nodded home superbly from Matteo Politano’s cross deep into stoppage time in the Round of 16 second leg tie.
