EPL: Title not in Arsenal’s hands, I’ll pay to be in this position again – Arteta

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has said he will “pay a lot of money to be in this position next season”.

Arteta, speaking ahead of Chelsea’s visit tomorrow, however, admitted that the Premier League title is “not in our hands”.

The Gunners have slipped into second place following Manchester City’s 2-1 victory at Fulham on Sunday.

“Now it is not in our hands. What is in our hands is to win our games. That’s what we try to do and the rest is down to City.

“This is not over. I would pay a lot of money to be in this position next season, believe me,” Arteta said.

For Arsenal to realistically win the Premier League title, they need to win their five remaining matches and hope City slip up twice.
