We’re investigating two ministries over N4bn double contracts payment fraud – EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, had disclosed that it is investigating two ministries over double contracts payment fraud to the sum of N4billion naira.

Abdulrasheed Bawa, the commission’s chairman, on Thursday, disclosed that the double contract payments were cumulatively 20.

Bawa revealed that the contracts were executed way back in 2018.

He explained that the fraud was done in conspiracy with civil servants.

“Currently, we’re investigating two ministries where double payments were made. In one of the ministries, the double payments, cumulatively, were about 20 contracts of over N4bn”.

    Lagos State Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court sitting in Ikeja on Thursday sentenced 51-year-old Ubregbo Parmer to life imprisonment for defiling his colleague’s nine-year-old daughter.

    Justice Abiola Soladoye sentenced Ubregbo after finding him guilty of the offence of defilement, which the prosecution sufficiently proved against the convict.
