Akwa United’s Olisema ruled out of Federation Cup clash against Wikki Tourists

Akwa United will be without the service of midfielder, Cyril Olisema when they take on Wikki Tourists in the Federation Cup on Thursday.

The Promise Keepers will clash with the Bauchi Elephants at the University of Enugu Stadium, Enugu in the round of 64 tie.

The talented midfielder picked up an ankle injury in the first half of his team’s 3-1 Nigeria Premier Football League win against Kwara United on Monday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

Olisema has been on an impressive run of form for Ayodeji Ayeni’s side.

He has scored six times in the NPFL this season.

Akwa United will be hoping for a quick return for their top scorer as they push to secure a place in the NPFL Super Six competition.

DAILY POST recalled that Akwa United won the 2017 Federation Cup after defeating Niger Tornadoes 3-2 on penalties at the Agege Stadium, Lagos.
