Court ruling: Enugu Labour Party awaits directive from Abuja – Chairman

Chairman of the Labour Party (LP) in Enugu State, Casmir Agbo, has disclosed that the party is ready for directives from its headquarters to habits a sparkling gubernatorial primary.

Agbo made this regarded on Monday in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu.

Recall that an Abuja Federal High Court had ordered a fresh gubernatorial primary in Enugu State. This used to be sequel to a suit added via Mr Everest Nnaji difficult the emergence of Mr Chijioke Edeoga as the LP candidate.

“We are ready for directives from our national office to behavior a clean primary as ordered via the Court,” he said.

Agbo, a Lawyer, stated the party’s legal team is analyzing the judgment “and as quickly as we receive the directive we will cross on.”

He asked Labour Party faithful in the state to stay focused and calm, as the party is poised to take the state in the forthcoming 2023 election.
