EPL: Arsenal to be without key player for Leeds United clash

Arsenal defender William Saliba is expected to miss the Gunners’ Premier League clash with Leeds as the defender continues to recover from a back injury.

The French star has started all but one of Arsenal’s league games this season, forming a strong partnership with Gabriel.

He was forced off early in Arsenal’s Europa League defeat against Sporting after tweaking his back a few weeks ago.

Neither Saliba nor Eddie Nketiah (ankle problem) trained with Arsenal ahead of Saturday’s visit of Leeds.

His absence would represent a big blow to Arsenal, who are 10 games away from securing the Premier League title.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the kick-off and final dates for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted in Cote d’Ivoire.

The opening match will take place at the newly built Alassane Quatara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan on Saturday, January 13, 2024.
