Flutterwave co-founder Olugbenga ‘GB’ Agboola joins Wall Street Journal CEO Council
Olugbenga ‘GB’ Agboola, co-founder and CEO of Flutterwave, has been chosen to join the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) CEO Council.
The 350 CEOs who make up the CEO Council oversee businesses that together employ more than 11 million people, bring in more than $4.48 trillion in yearly sales, and represent 28 nations across a wide range of industries.
As a member of GB, you have a rare chance to speak with the CEOs of some of the most well-known and powerful firms in the world about emerging economies, payments, and global fintech.
For many companies and financial institutions, like PayPal, Standard Bank, and Google, among others, Gbenga has played a key role in advancing the development of Fintech solutions.
Prior Fintech projects by the entrepreneur focused on quicker and non-card ways to make payments and was acquired by a top bank in Nigeria.
GB’s educational background includes the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Wharton School of Management and the University of Westminster.
He was named 2020 African Leadership Magazine’s Young Business Leader and recognized for achievements in leadership and innovation by Fortune Magazine’s 40 under 40 lists and Time Magazine’s 2021 Next 100 list.
The Flutterwave CEO is a 2023 graduate of the acclaimed Advanced Management Program of the Columbia Business School.
In October 2022, GB was conferred with the National Honor, Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) by President Muhammadu Buhari.
